Synopsis
A Silence That Filled All of Assam
When the news of Zubeen Garg's passing broke on 19th September, it didn't just shake Assam — it broke something in every home. This short film follows a young boy, a devoted fan of Zubeen Da, as he struggles to make peace with a loss that feels inescapable. His parents try everything to bring him comfort, but the world around him won't let him forget — the songs keep playing, his name keeps coming up, grief keeps finding new ways in. Until, finally, he screams the only words left to say: Ghuri Aaha. Come back.
A 2D animated short film by Rhino Motion, made as a tribute to the love an entire state still carries for him.
Zubeen Da's voice always felt like home to us. ‘Ghuri Aaha’ is our small way of saying thank you — made with the same love and joy he gave us through his songs, so a new generation can feel what we felt.
